pending i485 need held

hi suzanne,

my case is a bit complicated but i'll try to be simple. I am an international student with an f1 visa how graduated and got sponsored by a california Hospital. I 've been working for almost two years and like everybody i am affected by the retrogression. My i140 was approved in Oct 2007 in Nebresca Service Center. I filed for my I485 in Nov 2006 and would like to travel back home in Mali. Can I apply for a travel document I131?

I also would like to know if I a was stuck with current employer until my I485 is approved. I so, do I have to keep my full time status at all time. Can the USCIS know if i change my status to per diem?

Thank alot 4 your help. This is a frustrating time and my lawyer is useless.

Your file is dependent on job so if you change job then you have to start all over again. I know as I had my first employer back out so had to start from scratch when I found another employer.
