Peer interview

Published

Hi everyone

I need help with peer interview.

i had an interview with nurse manager on telemetry unit. After interview, she said I am going to have a peer interview with night charge nurse and staff rn because I applied for night shift. I am very anxious and nervous about peer interview.

please I need help.

Hey! I've never had a peer interview but I would try not to stress. It sounds to me like you did well in your initial interview- otherwise they wouldn't have scheduled the peer interview!

I imagine they will mostly want to see how you communicate with other staff members and they may ask you some more normal interview questions. Just be yourself!

I would look at this as an opportunity to really learn what the job is like. From somebody on the front lines. And to see how you mesh with the people you would actually be working with.

I had a peer interview without being warned. I honestly liked it better than an interview with just higher ups. You get a chance to see what personalities are like. Be honest with your answers, and ask questions. This is your chance to ask questions about how the floor works. Be yourself and breathe.
