i have a teaching project, for peds, coming up next week and i am unsure if my topic is appropriate!
which would serve as a guide for the parent of the neonate.
as of now my topic is hygiene of a neonate.
is it appropriate for the dx of bacteremia????
has anyone ever done a project similar to this??
any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!

you can always check the topics on kids health website to see how they are presented for both the parents and the kids: http://www.kidshealth.org[color=#231f20]

How about signs of illness in the neonate including how to take the temerature? Just thinking about the diagnosis here- what do these parents need to learn? Hygiene- yes definitely. But, where did the infection come from? Is this baby going to have problems down the road? Many parents don't have a clue about signs of illness until the baby is so sick that it ends up hospitalized. (Speaking from home health experience.) Good luck.
