So I'm in my second to last semester of nursing school at the University of South Florida. We are finally into our pediatrics/OB clinicals and classes and I feel like I've finally found the area of nursing that I am most passionate about. For the first time in nursing school I actually enjoy going to class and reading my homework assignments. Its an awesome feeling to feel so excited and passionate about something. I can definitely see myself loving going to work every day as a neonatal or pediatric nurse. The only thing is I know this is going to be a very competitive field to get into. I was wondering if anyone knows what the chances are of being hired as a nurse in this field right out of college or if anyone has any tips about things that I can do now to make myself stand out as a candidate in this field when I graduate. Thanks!
