Pearson Trick

Hey everyone,

I just sat for my NCLEX and it shut off at 75, which makes me super nervous. I know the "trick" isn't working anymore. Does anyone have success with putting in the wrong cc number and still getting results? Mine says that they cleared my cc number. But I don't know if that means I failed or not? I'm trying really hard not to freak out. And is it still a reliable source? My state doesn't do quick results, so I would just have to wait till it posts or I get a letter in the mail. Thanks in advance for any help

If your credit card number went through, it means you either failed (and have now paid for a new test), OR you passed and threw $200 bucks out the window.

Unfortunately, there's really no sure way to know which it was until you get your official results.

*USUALLY* when someone's card number is submitted and they then get a message telling them they cannot register at this time, they have passed (and the card is not charged). Also, *usually*, if a card is charged, the candidate has failed (but not 100% of the time).

A first-time test taker can take some comfort in knowing that 85% of such testers do pass. And, at only 75 questions, you either did VERY well (and the computer knew you were competent) or you did very poorly (and there was no point in continuing the exam).

Sorry, no one can tell you anything for sure on this....hang in there!

Thanks, I put in the wrong credit care number and got an error message. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and put in the right number and just pay the $200.

Why not just keep patient for a bit, and see if your name appears on BoN website? Do you really have $200 to throw away? If so, I'll give you my address :)

I recently failed NCLEX.I used an old credit card to do the nww pvt trick, and it went through and told me that there were insufficient funds.48 hours later I got the results that I had failed.Meaning if they try and take money from your card, you fail. But if they dont and you get a pop up saying another test cannot be scheduled then you passed. However, you cannot make up a card number. It has to be a valid card.Hope that helps. All the best and think positive!!!
