PCC , Tucson LPN program, Oct 21/2023 Cohort

Hello! I have been offered a seat in the Pima Community College October 2023 cohort for there LPN program. I need to do the CNA course prior to that. Anyone elese accepted, or starting in the Summer cohort prior to this? Also, any older students like myself need support and encouragement? Let's talk!

IDK if this is helpful now but I used to attend PCC for RN. I withdrew last year due to a bad pregnancy. Did you still need help?

Hello! Thank you for your reply! I already passed my AZ state CNA, and am in Intro to Pharmacology for Practical Nursing. It's challenging, as I was told it's the same class that the ADN(RN) program students take, but the LPN is only 8 weeks in duration compared to the 16 weeks that the RN gets. I hope that you are doing well , and maybe come back to the program soon.

That's surprising cause the RN and LPN students were all together for pharm for the entire semester (unless they changed it?). I think I may have notes or whatever if you ever need them.

I can't return back cause they have a policy of only 1 F and 1 W. ? They let you return in 1-3yrs but it's not guaranteed they'll accept me and I just want to finish asap. So I switched to Carrington. I'll be done by next year ?

Hello again. Yes, they changed it and have a separate accelerated program for LPN. The Pharm class was the same as the 16 wk RN Pharm, but accelerated. I passed the class, now on to Intro to Practical Nursing w/separate skills lab and clinical. Good luck at Carrington!
