I was recently accepted into an ASN nursing program. I already have a BS in Biological Sciences. When I applied, I also filled out my Fasfa to get a loan to pay for school since I haven't borrowed the max as an undergraduate. Now the Financial Aid department is saying the 150% rule applies to me and I'm not eligible for a loan. This rule means since the program is only 72 hours, I can't have attempted more than 150% of those hours. I've talked to the director of financial aid and was told there is nothing that can be done for me. Everyone at the school is congratulating me for being accepted, however, there is no way for me to pay out of pocket, and no one to guide me to find assistance. Tuition is $6,000 for the year, so it's not crazy expensive. I just know we don't have a way to come up with the tuition. I'm married, in my 30s, with 2 kids so school will be a struggle anyways. But on to my question, are there scholarship programs or anything available to help me start school in August? I'm in Florida. Thanks for all help and advice.

Are private loans not possible? Seems like they would be.
I just looked it up. I didn't realize there were other options outside of federal student loans. Thank you for the suggestion!!
