pay vs experience

Working currently at a very small critical access hospital, some nights only 1 or 2 pts. The pay is fantastic, and it is 8 blocks to work. I have been a position at a hospital 13 miles away for less pay, but more experience. I am really struggling with the decision. I am concerned that 2-3 yrs from now, I will be only qualified to work where I am. I am a new grad, but 48yrs old. A few years from now, if I had to change jobs I am worried that I would have very little experience or skills. The hosptial that I am at now, has covered , non-covered, acute and ER. It isn't that I am not learning anything, but it could be a yr and never hang blood, no NG tube, yet often I am the only RN for the entire shift, including ER. I have my PALS, ACLS, and TNCC.

Any thoughts? I need to give an answer by Monday morning.:heartbeat:uhoh3:

I would ask you if you are happy where you are now?

Personally because I am older I'm a big fan of the money I make where I work now. I also really like my coworkers which is huge, imo. Again since I'm older I'm not anticipating making a radical speciality change either so that might effect my opinion. Good luck with whatever you decide.
