Pathophysiology tree help....

Hi. I'm in my second year at nursing and I am in med-surg. My clinical teacher wants us to write a very detail pathophysiology tree using a template. It includes step by step progression of symptoms (begining, to death), what is happending in the body at those time, diagnosis and test and treatment.I'm having a hard time with this. How should I go along with this and can you recommend me a good patho book?Thank you!!
