Passing NCLEX 2003

Published

Since NCLEX is CAT, and will declare that you pass only if it's 95% sure of your competency, just be honest to yourself if you were able to understand atleast 95% of all the diseases, drugs, culture etc. before taking that sumptuous exam- for you to make it!!! As per my experience, it was all application-situational and therapeautic communications.. and being well-prepared prior to sitting in that "hotchair"is worth it!!!

when I sat for Boards, you went to one of 3 possible test sites in your state and sat for two and a half days, taking 5 long comprehensive exams. If you failed, you had to wait 6 months to be able to take the exams again and you were busted to the rold of Nurse Tech. They were given on the exact date in all 50 states.

a computer exam that takes 2 or so hours.......please

Now, now BarbPick...

WOW, 2 1/2 days! That's a incredible! What were the questions like on the test you took? I'll bet that was very tough.

I am sure it sounds like a bunch of whining when you hear about the nerves and fear everyone exhibits over this NCLEX-RN test, especially after what you had to go through. It just happens to be what's required now, and I must say it looks like a daunting enough task to me after reviewing an NCLEX-RN review book/study guide. I can't imagine doing a test for 2 1/2 days, though. Kudos! ;)

we old dinosaurs are tough. They were broken up by subjects. A half day for medical, half day of surgical, half day of Maternal Child Health and the worst of all, nursing theory, like research, psycho social and everything you could possibly forget. I took mine in 1975 in Jacksonville Florida and was lyucky to get a hotel room, and someone to share it with as I am from Miami.

I tutor for state boards. I have exact proven study methods, and share tham with anyone who asks, for you see, I promised God that if I passed, I would do my share to help fear reduction using my methoods to prepare. I have kept the promise for 28 years now, since God allowed me to pass the first time.
