Passed my Test today

Hello All,

I wanted to post this morning, because I passed my boards on yesterday. I have been on this site since December of last year after failing my first exam. There have been many people on this site that has been my support while I was studying for my boards. I am officially an FNP-C now and can finally relax with my family.

I feel like it was my duty to let others who have failed know what steps I had taken to be successful. First, I put the Good Lord in everything that I do. Second, I begin to study my weak points after going to Amelie Hollier's review for the second time and reading Maria Leik's entire intensive review book. I had also did the APEA Q-Bank and the AANP practice exam. I also listened to Hollier in the car almost every day. I did half of Leik's review questions in the back of the book as well as index cards.

All of these things have helped me understand my role as a NP and expand my goals with this new role. I have spend a total of 2 months studying for this exam and it paid off. I didn't just read the books that were available to me, but read for comprehension of the material.

In conclusion, the test is now behind me and ready for my first job. If you have failed this test before like I have--Don't give up!! Fight for what you want--study and review til you have mastered the major subjects that primary care usually will see in a clinic setting. I've had to work hard to get to this point and so can YOU!!! Prayers changes things and he will put people in your lives that support you fully.

Yes, it can be done because your reading a testimony from someone that was in your same shoes.Thank you and God Bless
