I took the NAT today and it was soooooo stressful (the time constraints and whatnot) but I passed! I got 99th percentile on academic aptitude, 96th on reading comprehension, and 91st on natural sciences!!!!!!
Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know how I felt about it. I know a lot of you are worrying, so I will do my best to ease the worries. I didn't do a study guide or anything by the way, so obviously it's pretty easy overall.
Natural sciences is VERY straighforward. If you have taken A&P and Chem you should be fine. Little to no Micro on it. Most of the questions are A&P/health related.
Reading comp is a bit tough. The pasages are long and there is not too much time in that section. For me, I am a slow reader so it was hard to read fast AND have to answer the questions fast. But you can refer back to the passage. Overall the questions were easy, but completing it in a timely manner was a problem for me.
Academic aptitude was easy. Trust me, I barely passed any high school or college math class, but that math was EASY! When they say eighth grade, they really mean third. :chuckle The rest of the questions besides math are either pick the word that means something different or blank is to blank as blank is to blank. And those to me are pretty easy for the most part. There are some really big words on the vocabulary part though, so if you don't feel comfortable with that you may want to review.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the test. If anyone has anymore questions feel free to ask!!!

I kinda get a kick when folks say they "passed"....test isn't a pass or fail deal, but you did fantastic! Congrats!!!
I was close to your scores.... I got 93rd percentile on academic aptitude, 98th on reading comprehension, and 98th on natural sciences.

Okay, I have to tell you I always thought it was so odd for people to say they "passed" an aptitude test and vowed to never use the term myself. But when I took it I thought "What else am I gonna say?" I mean "passed" is shorter than "got a really high score on". Plus I didn't even know if that would fit in the subject line. :chuckle So I just did it anyway. :chuckle
Thanks for the congratualtions!!! It seems as though some are in order for you as well. 98th percentile on natural sciences?!?!?!?!? I am in awe of you! Great job!
Thanks! See ya in nursing school!

Congrats!!! That's a great score! I'm taking the PSB for Academic Aptitude and Reading Comprehension soon. Does anyone know if it is better to fill in ALL the answers or to leave them blank if we don't know the answer? Do we get penalized for wrong answers???? help!

Definitley fill in all of the blanks. You do not get penalized for wrong answers. I took the test yesterday and got my scores today. Whenever I would see there was only 1 minute remaining I would fill in the ones I hadn't answered yet (which wasn't many) with B. Its best to pick one letter and stick with it to increase your chance of getting some right. I did really well on the test and scored Superior and High Average in most categories. I am a really fast reader but you will not have time to read the passages. Don't even try. Just read the questions and pick out the answer. If you have any questions that I can help you with let me know:) I hope you do great on the test!
