parttime or fulltime

if I study parttime for my master degree, should I work full time?

or I should choose to work parttime instead.

If I work parttime, can I make as many requests as I want, so that, the roster can fit my study timetable? or even full time work, which can fit very well too?

That's a decision only you can make. It depends on your contact hours, how long it generally takes you to read texts etc and write essays, if you're doing empirical research, if your ward/department are flexible with rosters, if you can afford to work part-time...

It's not quite the same, but... I've studied both full-time and part-time, while working full-time, without too much problem, but my contact hours for a lot of subjects were in blocks of eight hours.

Good luck!

thanks, would you mind telling me, in general, how much can I make if I work part-time?

That depends on which state you work in; if you're eligible for qualification allowances; which shifts you work; and whether you're working as ward staff, bank or agency.

thx, seems so complicated. Actually, I am a RN in Hong Kong, and I will move to sydney in june.

But I will have an interview with the RPAH, which is a hospital in sydney, next month.

So I just wonder what should I choose. I can't say I have a large budget, because, I have to send some of the salary back to my parents in hong kong.

Living in Sydney can be VERY expensive. You might wish to get a "feel" of things first, before you commit to anything.

Best Wishes to you, and, in advance, .....WELCOME to Australia!
