One thing you need to do first is get sorted with NMC which may take a while. Due to financial situations you may find it hard to find work in hospitals as currently many UK nurses especially newly qualified are struggling to find work. Not sure what the sector is like for nursing homes but pay can vary and not sure if you will make £800 month after taxes also not sure if that will be enough to sustain yourself each month as rent can be expensive then there will be other living expenses ie gas, electric council tax just to name a few without pricing groceries

Also you may find cost of course expensive as classed as international student, usually to qualify for local status it is required that you are a resident in the UK for 3 years.

Not wanting to put a downer on things but this is my opinion but I wish you well with your venture

given MS is from the netrherlands ( and assuming he is a Dutch passport holder ) is an EU citizen ... it might not be as expensive for him to study in the UK as someone none EU ... I don't know how it works for post -grad stuff

as an EU trained RN it's should be a purely paper excercise for him to get registered ...

i don't know what the current state of play with jobs in the east mildands, but certainly there are jobs around a little further north

Have read on a couple of other websites of ex pats still within EU who have had to pay international fees because their children had not spent the previous 3 years in the UK and they wanted to go to uni in the UK
