Parrot Bite

I was bit on the ankle by a parrot. Was doing wound care on a patient when her parrot came up behind me and grabbed my ankle. Broke the skin. I cleaned it applied neosporin and a bandaide. Next day feel lousy, red around wound but no pain, no drainage. Has anyone had this experience.

Write up an incident report, contact your HR rep who handles work comp for your agency, and see the work comp doctor.

Write incident report, I was bitten by a client's neighbors dog. I went straight to my dr office who cleaned it and stitched it up, then went to my employer office with paperwork. The employer paid dr and then went after the owner of the dog. Did have to call sheriffs office cause they had to quartine dog and find out if it had rabies shot. It turned into a headache but employer made it easy( it happens alot apparently) I will forever have a scar on my arm just glad it wasn't worst. Always be aware of your surroundings
