Jun 7, 20179 yr I am looking for information about nursing programs, and I'm getting a bit confused.I am currently a Paramedic, but I also have a BS (with a BIO major). It's been almost 20 years since I graduated college. My question is: there are Paramedic to RN bridge programs; there are BS to BSN programs. Does anyone have any input about pros/cons?Also, I'd like to do the schooling online. Thanks!!!Mike

There are hybrid programs (WGU) that have lecture classes online and clinical time at a hospital with other WGU students.
Jun 10, 20179 yr RN is a license. ASN and BSN are degrees. Both allow you to sit for the licensure exam (NCLEX). You are looking at Paramedic to ASN. The next step (if you choose) would be RN (ASN) to BSN. Many hospitals are preferring BSN. Since you have a BS, you might also look into Accelerated BSN or 2nd degree BSN (ABSN). It is a quicker way to your BSN.
