Pace ABSN program starting 2013

I know it's early, but is anyone else looking at Pace's ABSN program to start in 2013? I'm 90% finished with my prerequisites and just getting the pieces together to start the application process!

I did not graduate but I would tell you to start off strong. Do not work and limit external obligations as much as possible. Study everything, everyday. The classes are pretty much self-taught, teachers read off the slides. So you will need to invest in your studies independently.

Are you in the two or one year program? That's good advice I appreciate it! Thank you :)

Did anyone who applied for the FALL 2013 program got accepted yet? I applied early october and still waiting. Everytime I call they tell me that my application is on committee review and that it will be a while until I hear from them becasue they are still finishing with people that applied for the Spring 2013 semester. I hate the waiting!

Yes! When did you applied? have you gotten a response?

Hi

I'm also thinking about applying to Pace for fall 2013.

I'm finishing my last two prerequisites now.

Does anyone knows how soon we can send application for Fall 2013?

Hi,

Did you applied already?

Hi

No I didn't apply yet,

I applied to Suny Downstate and Hunter,

I still can't decide about Pace

I applied to Pace, Downstate and NYU.

I got into NYU for January start date, but declined because I am waiting for cheaper options.

I have finished all of my pre-reqs and took pathophysiology in the fall to boost my chances on getting into Downstate.

ABSN programs are very competitive in NYC.

HI,

Could you please share your undergrad GPA and the pre requisites grades? I am also interested in applying to NYU but my first option is def. PACE.

mairayhans,

I am a bit of a non-traditional applicant to ABSN programs. My undergraduate degree does not have a GPA as I went to a school that does not give grades. I have a Masters in Public Health with a 3.4 GPA and I received 3.4 in my pre-reqs. I have many years experience in public health education, training and research. Most schools don't seem to value my MPH too much.

good luck to all...

Curious how the new students who entered Fall 2012 are faring. What percentage of your class still remains?

I'm on the fence about applying to this school, the attrition rate is a bit worrysome and reading the 2010 threads is scary. Has that situation improved at all? Definitely don't want to go into a situation that's primed for failure...

Can any of you please share your undergrad grades and Pre-req grades, experience, etc? and where you where accepted or where are you applying? I am worried about not being accepted since my undergrad GPA is 3.10 (BS in Biology) but on the other hand my pre-req GPA is 3.89. I have 5 years experience working in medical research plus volunteer experience in the Ambulatory Surgery Unit of a very prestigious hospital in NYC. Please help! By the way I applied to NYU and Pace for Fall 2013.

Hi

Did anyone heard back from Pace yet?
