Pace ABSN program starting 2013

I know it's early, but is anyone else looking at Pace's ABSN program to start in 2013? I'm 90% finished with my prerequisites and just getting the pieces together to start the application process!

Well I am graduating in a few days so my degree in psychology is still in process. I got a 3.4 GPA and basically a pre-req avg of about 3.6. I have experience working in hospitals, mainly Bronx Lebanon. Competition this year was actually at it's max I believe for many nursing programs. Good luck! And thank you I'm glad I don't have to wait anymore lol.

Maira,

I still havent received word from NYU today.. Best of luck to you, sounds like you have competitive stats.

Hi Sunshine&Mischief! I just got accepted to the one year program and I would love if you can give me some advice and resources. I have no idea how to use this forum so if you can message me, I'd appreciate it. Thank You and Congratulations on almost being done!!

I was accepted to the 1 year program as well even though I applied to the 2-year program. Does anybody know if we can contact them and make the switch?

Yea the same thing happened with me. I was accepted into the 2 year program and only applied for the 1 year program. Anyone looking to move into the city? Someone should make a group on facebook or something.

Hi, I created a facebook group and it's called Pace CDP Fall 2013. I hope we can comunicate this way also.

Aw man!!! Congratulations everyone!!!

Yes, you can contact them to make the switch- they mixed up my application, too. Mairayhans I'll shoot you an email, and if you guys want to add me to the FB group I can more easily help out from there (PM'ing here is tricky!)

Congrats again-- you guys are gonna do great! :)

Sunshine&Mischief,

Thank you for your words of encouragement! I have to decide wether to go for the one-year or two -year program. Do you think the one-year program is doable? How many people get kicked out of the program in the first year or semester? I have 2 options, one is to quit my job and do the one year program and hopefully find a job right after graduation (not an easy thing I know...) or keep my job by working part-time and do the two-year program and in case I don't find a job as a nurse right away after school I can still have my job and maybe since I already work in a hospital I could apply for a transfer if there is a nurse position open. Sights... please advice...anyone?
