I am applying to UWF for Spring 2023 FNP program. Part of the application is a career goals statement, my is it difficult! I think the difficult part is that it is limited to 150-200 words so I am struggling to figure out what is the most valid words to leave on the page because it "Serves as an example of my writing skills". Any advice on this from successful applicants? TIA!

The best thing to keep in mind when doing this applications is to write what they want to hear. Since the prompt is about career goals and you are going to a family NP Program, your goals should be centered around that even if those goals may not be true or as accurate as you state them to be. You can write about a specific population and/or disease that you want to treat (I.e. creating a diabetic management program for 65+), or starting your own clinic.

Hi! I also applied for the Spring cohort and kept my statement very precise. Stated where I currently work, what I am doing clinically and what my plans are as a NP. I know is hard to keep it under 200 words, but just try to write very relevant information!
The early acceptances are released after the deadline September 16th!
I hope we both get in!
Good luck to you for early acceptance, thank you for replying to my post! Keep me updated when you hear back from them ?

Hello!
I applied for the Spring 2023 FNP program as well - anxiously awaiting a decision for early acceptance! Wonder when we will hear!
Nothing so far... what about you?
Nothing yet for me, I’m expecting at least two weeks based off of other posts from previous classes. Fingers crossed!
Me either - still says “file sent to department”
I’m sure it’ll be next week sometime
I just received an email. Not accepted for early admission. Now, the wait is for December. ?
@MamaNurseLlama don’t fret! You will make it in the next round. I think mid November is when they let you know right?
I did, by my surprise, receive an admission email today! Shocked and grateful for the opportunity. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! You got this!
