Hello! I applied for the Spring 2023 FNP program as well - anxiously awaiting a decision for early acceptance! Wonder when we will hear!

Hi all! I'm debating on applying for a 3/12 PACU position. Currently I'm a nurse manager in an outpatient ENT clinic Mon-Fri 8-5 (have been there for about 6 months). With the recent Covid craziness, by husband and I have decided that it'd be better for our family and situation if I worked a 3/12 schedule. I started my nursing career as a new grad in the surgical ICU - stayed there for about a year and felt that was enough for me. I wasn't terribly fond of bedside nursing at the time and was quite intimidated. I truly didn't belong there as a new grad. I then spent the next 3 years as a geriatric primary care nurse, which I loved. I've become much more confident and feel my critical thinking has grown tremendously, the only concern I really have is that my skills are rusty, I can't even tell you the last time I started an IV. PACU has always interested me, I just want to make sure I know what I'm getting into. Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all! I’ve been searching high and low for an AGNP online program in Florida with very little luck! There are several in the nation that offer this program but I’m nervous about doing an out of state ARPN program. I’ve heard terrible things about clinicals not counting and courses not translating. Has anyone (living in Florida) gone out of state for NP school. If so, did you run into any issues? Thanks!
