Overseas work

Published

Hi,

I'm an Australian RN but am interested in working overseas next year, possibly

in Canada. Does anyone have any experience in this? If so I would love if someone could give me some advice on how I go about finding a job/applying, I've heard a little about going through an agency but I'm not sure what that's all about

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

:)

You would first need to attain a visa and a nursing license for the province in which you want to work.

Do you know how much these applications approximately cost ?

Thanks for your reply :)

Moved to the Nurse Registration forum which deals with applying for licensure in a country not your own.

Starting point would be deciding where in Canada you wish to live and work. Then look up the provincial college of RN's which will list the costs for applying to the college. Also check out NNSA as that is also a process you have to go through and check out their cost.

Then once you have gone through all this and have received eligibility to sit NCLEX for the province then look at the route you wish to use to get a visa/permit allowing you to live and work in Canada. For that process I suggest checking out CIC website for ways to work in Canada
