Overseas Nursing School Program Options

I am curious to know if any American on this forum has attended and completed the equivalent of a BSN in another country without knowing the language of that country.

What country was it in? Were you able to return to the US to complete the NCLEX? Was it perhaps in a country where the cost of university education is a lot less expensive than in the states? What were the admissions requirements?

Communication is a huge part of nursing, a student or qualified nurse who cannot understand, speak, or write in the majority of the patients native language will not be able to provide safe, competent care.

Yes I understand that. I was curious to hear stories of nurses who may have started out studying at a university in another country other than the US where either English is predominantly spoken, and/or have learned the language of that country while at the nursing program. I understand these are rare cases. Or maybe these type of stories don't even exist at all. Hence, posting to find out.

You never know! It's possible.

You would have to be fluent first. You couldn't learn it after you started the program.
