Ordering from the States

Does anyone ever order nursing supplies/scrubs from any of the online nursing stores from the usa? I want to but they charge over $30.00 american for international shipping and handling charges. At least that is what I understand. So if I order something for $16.00 (american) items up to $25.00 they ding us with $30.00 shipping and handling? Why Why Why!!!. Don't they want our business?

Why do they make it so hard for Canadians to shop from them. The usa has the cutest things but gosh, who wants to pay all that shipping???

The Canadian sites I have found don't have anything cool for tote bags, etc.....just scrubs and shoes.

Your thoughts pls.

Hiya, I have ordered stuff from companies in the states. Never have i paid $30 dollars for shipping. Most reputable sites offer a Canadian price for shipping. Another option is (if you live close to a border crossing) to have to shipped to a company that accepts packages for Canadians. Often times furniture stores or small mail outlets will do so, look in the phone book. One site I particularly like is http://www.allheart.com

Best of luck in ordering

I used to order from scrubsbydesign.com and their rates were reasonable from what I remember. Now that I live in the US I don't have to worry about it.... But, with the Canadian dollar being so high, you can probably afford the shipping since you're saving so much on the exchange.

http://www.scrubscanada.com has some cute scrubs. They have a US equivalent site, but this site is especially for Canadians. I know I am not answering the original comment (as I live in the US and have no experience with the topic at hand) however I did know of this site and thought I might pass it along.

I know that not everywhere charges these shipping fees, but some do.

DW occasionally picks up scrubs for her or myself on ebay. They have auctions and stores there, and some people make their own and sell them. It might be worth considering.

I found the same thing when I wanted to order something from NursesStation.com...$30.00 S&H minimum to Canada. YOIKS!! Thanks but no thanks...I'll do without my cute personalized nurse mug and mousepad.
