Opinions about Access nurses?

I am thinking about taking a travel assignment with access nurses to Charlotte NC. Any opinions/ advice?

I have not heard of them. Let me do so checking online.

How was their offer? How did you find each other?

They have a website, just look for it with a search of the name in Google. Their website states they are a part of the Allied Health Care Group. Nothing come to mind at the moment. Perhaps a poster will have something to add.

Let's compare apples to apples. What is their offer? What research have you done of other companies that have contracts in the area you want to go to?

Sometimes, it boils down to you get what you want. There is always the statement that a Nurse Traveler can handle anything for 13 weeks but lets make sure before you sign on the dotted line or agree to let them submit you. Oh and make sure, you do NOT allow submission of your package until you agree to it.

Anyone have any current info?

oh thats cool i am thinking to take position in wilmington nc through onassignments or access let me know what is pay offer with or without housing

I have just extended my 3rd contract with Access Nurses. Of all the companies I've work with, they are by far the best. My recruiter is amazing and always easily accessible. The housing has been great and the pay rate is comparable to others in the area (southern California). The customer service can't be beat in my opinion. Good luck!!!

I have been talking to seven different companies. All the offers are the same just about. The salary per hour is about the same as in GA they explained to me but the stiepend they offered was pretty good and so far the recruiter has been very supportive of me and answering my questions very promptly.

In the Charlotte they offered me either a one bedroom apt fully furnished (including linens, pots/pans,etc), $500 .00 moving pay, and the salary varies by facility.

It did not sound too bad. All of the companies offered pretty much the same stuff.

I am interested in either/or short term assignments to Chinle AZ and CA (both L&D) through Access. Anyone have experience with this??

I'm with Access Nurses and work L&D, I haven't worked in Arizona but have done assignments in southern California. What would you like to know?

I'm considering a short term assignment in AZ or southern CA in the next few weeks. Is the agency good to work with? The staffer on the phone sounded nice. I haven't worked as a traveller before. He said they have short term (4-8 week) assignments in CA to help transition nurses into travelling, which I thought was a great idea, and easier for me to do with my school schedule. Chinle AZ assignments can be shorter term, too, he said, 6 or more weeks. Where are you working? Do you like it?

I haven't worked any short term assignments, all of mine have been 13 weeks. I'm currently working in Thousand Oaks at Los Robles and really like it. It's probably one of the best places I've worked as a traveler...the staff is great and they don't dump on their travelers like alot of hospitals do. Before this assignment I was at Valley Pres. in Van Nuys...wouldn't recommend that hospital to anyone!!! Corona Regional in Corona was okay, the staff was great but they had some "odd" practices. Good luck and feel free to pm me if you have any other questions!
