Online programs- How well accepted by MSN programs?

Published

I am an Associate prepared RN and took many credits toward my degree years ago. I also have lots of credits for other courses taken before I started in nursing and after. I need to put them all in one basket and get a BS. I almost don't care if it is in Basketweaving. One online BSN program was suggested to me, EC. I did see that it was accredited by the NLN Accrediting Commission, but I have no idea how good these schools really are nor how well they are accepted on the Master's level. I really have already done most of the work. I just need to complete what is needed. I would love to hear your opinion on the fastest way to get a BS or BSN and also what schools seem to give the most credit for courses earned already. I also would like to know what the Master's level really thinks of these online programs and how they are accepted when making decisions regarding acceptance into their MSN or NP programs. Has anyone gone this route in getting their MSN with an online BSN, and what do you think? Any problems on the MS level with acceptance? I don't want to get it and then find out I can't use it to go into advanced practice.TweetyRN (F)
