Hello,
I am a current LPN working at a family practice. I am wanting to know if anybody has done an ONLINE program before and what they thought? I want to get my RN but I dont want to lose my current job to do it. Also does anybody know of good online programs either LPN to RN or LPN to BSN. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You are aware, I hope, that there are no 100% online RN programs. There is always some type of clinical requirement. (Even Excelsior has a clinical weekend that must be completed.)
Where do you live? WGU's pre-licensure program (only available in a few states) has all of the classroom portion online, and the clinicals are compressed and available on weekends and nights for students who need that.

Excelsior College offers a distance-based LPN-to-ASN program that is accredited and reputable. Of course, it is not accepted by all state boards of nursing for licensure due to the lack of clinical practicum concurrency.
Indiana State University offers an online LPN-to-BSN program. Again, it is not accepted for licensure by all state boards of nursing and requires clinical practicum.
I live in Oregon right now. I am new to all of this, so thank you for your help. I thought you could do the course work online and then clinicals in your area if approved is that correct?
Your program has to offer clinicals in the area. You cannot just set it up yourself and freestyle (Not trying to be rude- just couldn't think of another way to phrase it.)
