Online post-master's ANP program

I am getting ready to graduate from an Acute Care CNS program and am working on obtaining my prescriptive authority hours. I am wanting an online certificate program to get my ANP and I was wondering if anyone has gone through the program at St Louis University, or knows anywhere else I can look. I need an online certificate program, and many of the programs I have found are for the entire program, or the certificate requirements are just like going through the graduate program. Any thoughts??

Thanks

Can I ask why you would get another adults-only APN? Does it have something to do with your state's BON?

I will be graduating with my acute care CNS in July and have to take the CCNS exam for certification. We just found out that we can not take the adult certification because our program does not meet all the qualifications. I have found that I really like the mid-level provider role, and I am not sure I want to stay in the hospital; leaning toward primary care. I have come to learn that the CNS's in my state do not have the recognition that the NP's have in that role, or the job opportunities.

Totally understand. May I ask what state you are in? I live in IL and all APNs are the same here in scope of practice. I'm thinking about an FNP so that I can see kids. Have you considered this route? That would give you the widest scope of practice.
