Hey guys! For the upcoming spring semester, I have a pretty easy semester.. it's A&P II, Technical Writing and Med Term. My med term class is only offered online and I have the option to take it for the full semester, the first half semester, or the second half of the semester.
So my question pertaining Med Term is how is the work load? Is this class doable in half of a semester? I was thinking of registering for Med Term for the first half of the semester so by the time finals week rolls by, I only have to worry about A&P II (which I want to spend most of my time on) and Tech Writing. What are your thoughts on this? A good idea or just spread this class throughout the whole semester?
If you guys could offer some of your intel, I'd much appreciate it!

Hi Cbui! Every school & every instructor is different. Have you tried going to ratemyprofessor .com & checking out feedback other students have given your teacher? I do think you made the right choice in taking this class online. No matter what, Google will absolutely get you some points that in-person students would never receive.
For me, the online class was more time consuming than I expected. It takes time to record audio assignments b/c the pronunciations are tricky. Interpreting patient medical records will probably take some chunks of your time, too. Be careful, though. I know a few ladies that wanted to cheat their whole way through this class: none of them got A's.
My biggest tip is to put as much time into the class as possible, since you already know that the content will be very relevant later. No one wants to be embarrassed because they didn't put enough time into medical terminology.
Hey! Thanks for responding. Unfortunately it doesn't show my instructors name, it only says "staff" for all of the online med term classes so I wouldn't be able to look up reviews. But your response is making me lean on taking it for one full semester instead of half of a semester!
Ahh but it's not anything like A&P-, Mico-, or Chemistry-hard. I just reread what I wrote to you and I think I over dramaticized it. Don't be intimidated, just know it's one of those classes where you do have to put some time into it - it's an interesting, relevant subject. Your time & your budget matter. Either way you take it, you should be just fine.
