So, I need to get re-certified. I hold a AHA CPR card but the hospital requires I re-certify my BLS one too. I don't have to the time in my schedule to goto a class right now. All the ones near me seem to fall on a when I am busy. Will a hospital take a BLS certification from an all online course?

I've been able to do that for the written test part, but still have to go to a practicum to demonstrate that you know the hands-on part. You can check with our hospital to see if they will let you do the demonstration with someone in a shorter period of time than the whole live class and hands-on would take.

In my experience no. The AHA online recertification is really easy to speed through if you are familiar with the material. I was able to sign up for a skills check the very next day. There was no further written exam and the skills part took less than 15 minutes.
Thats what I want to do but the every skills within two hours of me is serious at a time when I have exams or am working.
Have you spoken with the education department of your hospital. One small facility I worked at allowed me to come by the education office and one of their instructors did my skills check for me during our lunch break.
Is one of your nursing instructors also a BLS certified instructor? Maybe you could ask if that person would test you for the skills part during a time that works?
