Hi all,
I am currently working in IR but am looking to switch into oncology infusion nursing. I have a hx working with patients that are dx with CA of all types for years both in IR and in the ICU where I started.
I'm trying to become a oncology certified nurse. I know you need hours, does this mean working directly in oncology or just around it? Can anyone help me with starting this journey its a bit confusing.

You need to be working on an oncology unit and chemo giving chemo. Even to get biotherapy certified you need to be working on an oncology unit for about six months first. OCN cert after about 2 years, I’m working on mine right now after about 2.5 years on an oncology unit.
