Hello,
I looked on the CSSD website and their application for next fall has all ready closed. MiraCosta College's LPN program has a 3 year wait list and their RN program requires Intermediate Algebra (I only have Statistics from a College). Are there any other programs in the Oceanside or San Diego area that fulfill the following:\
a) Still accepting applications for Fall 2011
b) Competitive (no waitlist)
c) require the following prereqs or less: 3 terms of A&P, Micro, Stats, Physics, Bio/Org Chem, Nutrition, Gen & Developing Psych, English 101 & Tech Writing
d) do not require a CNA certification (I am taking the class this upcomming term so I won't be certified until April)
e)within an hour of Oceanside & accessible by public transit
f) waiting for me to be a proud student!
Thanks for any information in advance!

I think college level Statistic courses may be counted to take the place of Intermediate Algebra. If it is a college level stat, it seems that most programs count that as more advanced than Intermediate Algebra (I was told that at Riverside CC). I applied to Mira Costa's RN program, and my Elementary Stat/Probability that I took at another California community college was accepted. If you are wondering, no I was not accepted into Mira Costa's RN program. :smackingf

ppgbubbles80, what was your total number of points for the application, if you don't mind sharing. I'm so glad to find out that they're still accepting applications for Fall 2011! Pretty much all the other CCs in San Diego had a Dec. 1st deadline.
Hi EmeraldStar,
I was not aware there was a point system for Mira Costa. LOL. I tossed out my app last week knowing that I am headed elsewhere. I didn't even bother to look at it again, so I don't know what exactly my points were. I know I was missing Speech class. I finished Speech this week, so it was technically "in-process" at the time of my app. Micro - A, Anatomy - A, Physio - B, English - B, Stat - A. No CNA or certified jobs like that. No volunteer experience. Not bilingual. Hopefully that may help you narrow down what my potential point score might have ended up being.
Thanks! That does help!
Thanks, I think I'll try to apply to MiraCosta.
