OCC program- taking too many prereq's at one time?

Hi everyone. I want to apply to OCC's ADN RN program this december. I know they allow you to take classes in the fall term even if htey end after the deadline and will apply it to this year.

Here's my question. I had a family situation in the summer which made me drop a couple of the nursing prereq's I was taking. I was able to get into all the classes I needed to for the fall and will be completed with the prereq's necessary by the end of the fall term, so I should be all set to apply. I am taking a lot of the courses at OCC, actually. I talked to a counselor and got an override on the number of credits I could take, and was allowed to take anatomy and physiology 1 and 2 at the sametime.

Here is my question...will the nursing program care that I am taking so many credits in one semester? I am taking six classes this semester! I know I'm insane but I'm not working at all and am studying like none other all semester and I'm a good student so I think I can do it but will the nursing program "be upset" or something because I took so many classes in one term?

Thanks!

They won't be upset. The program just looks at your grades and if your GPA ranks high enough, you will be accepted. As you can handle it and maintain a GPA above around 3.6, you should get in...

She's right...as long as you get your pre-reqs done there will be no problems. Good luck!!!! last year the cut-off was about 3.57:D
