OBS and PSYCH course

I had deficiency in Obs and CA Board asked me to make it up. They send me a list of schools,approved by CA board, all in USA. As I am not in the US, I went to a local University, they sent the curicullum and CA board approved the program. The Director had to send a letter before I started and after I complete the program. I had to take theory as well as clinical practice.

I had my transcripts sent to CA Board and that was the end of the story. Shortly after that I was foung eligible to sit for NCLEX.

I have the same problem in OBS and Psy, I have no idea as to CA BON requirement of the hours, I am confused as to how many hours I am short of and need to get. could you please PM me of your OBS and PSY hours before and after you made up? I really appreciate your help.

In the US to make up the hours, you will need to take the course with the clinical and theory hours to meet the requirements, you cannot just make up twenty hours, etc., in the US. The course will need to appear on a transcript. The courses are usually about eight weeks.

thanks very much Suzanne4, you mean 40 hours/week for 8 weeks? which is about 320 hours in all for theory and clinical?

8 week period on average; but classs is not every day, clinicals are usually only two or three days per week, plus the theory.

Each course runs over an eight week period on average, not sure if you could get both done at the same time.
