NYIT Questions!!!

Hello everyone, this question isn't necessarily for me but for my friend. We both applied to similar schools. I received an email from NYIT saying they would waive the $50 fee to apply but I didn't want to go there because it was for a Bachelors so I passed it on to a friend. She was rejected from the other schools she applied to but just found out today she was accepted to NYIT and was offered a $6,000 scholarship. Now I remember reading on the website and on this forum that NYIT...

"The department is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), and we are currently working toward accreditation by the AACN's Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), a national accreditation agency."

Now I am not exactly sure what this means but I was told to stay away from it. I told her about it and told her to call the school and find out what that means, she told me NYIT said that they ARE accredited by NY and that it won't affect her at all, once she has completed her 4 years she will be put in the pool of other graduates to take her exam.

Does anyone have any information on this? She wasn't accepted anywhere else for the Fall semester, but I don't want to see her go through 4 years at this school at $22,000 a year and come out with nothing.

Thanks!!!!
