NYC Nurses

Hello All,

Has anyone had an interview at NYP Cornell recently? Any advice/ suggestions.

Thank You!

It went ok...I guess. They asked me about why NYP, situational type of questions, and gave me a tour. What unit are going to be interviewed for?

Hey for the postpartum unit. what about you?

You are a brand new grad?

Cool! I had for cardiothoracic step down..Tomorrow will be a week since the interview but I've heard it can take up to 2 weeks to hear back. And yes, I m a new grad :saint:

I wish you good luck and keep updating ;)

What are the nurse ratios for mother baby? make sure you ask. If couplet care is 7-8 per RN, that is 14-16 assessments.

Will definitely ask. Yeah I have never heard of such an amount. That is a lot. Usually at my current place we don't do more than 4 couplets.

Thank You! I am actually not a brand new grad.. have 2 years of experience, graduated May 2014. Hopefully the interview goes well. Did you just interview with the recruiter, or someone else?

Straight from Montefiore Manager of mom and baby "1 nurse takes 8-10 couplets" . Try keeping up with those feedings.
