Published

Hi there

I am wondering who out there is starting the application process for 2010 in NYC (and area)?

Suny Stony Brook Summer 2010

Suny Downstate Summer 2010

Columbia Summer 2010

Pace Fall 2010

NYU Fall 2010

Have I missed any?? please note if I have :)

Anyone applying and how is your process coming along?

Im finishing up my pre-reqs at a CUNY school and studying for the NET (downstate). Trying to stay as organzied as possible....HA!

Would love to chat with others in the same boat and possibly anyone in any of these programs now.

Hope this finds you well

I'm looking at both Downstate and Pace. For Stonybrook you need to have most of the pre-reqs done by the application deadline (I believe it's Nov 1) and I won't have that, or I'd be looking there.

I'm taking my pre-reqs at Kingsbourgh now, which CUNY are you in? Are you considering any traditional programs?

Molloy also has an accelerated program.

Specializes in LTC, Disabled, Psych.

i am doing excelsior...it is not the same but im starting out just the same and at the same time so maybe we can still help one another :nuke:

Hi!

Im not sure about Stony Brook requiring you be all done by Nov 1st. Im not, but am still applying. I'll be done in December. Way before their program starts. However, I live in city and going to Stony Brook will be a huge commitment. I will have to get a dorm room.

I do not know anything about Malloy or Excelsiro...I'll have to look both of them up.

I only want to do an accelerated program b.c I already have 2 BA's and would like to do it as fast as I can. But I would never rule anything out totally.

I am taking pre-reqs at City Tech in Brooklyn.....it seems a lot of people are, or at least a lot in my classes.

Reading all these posts is starting to get a little scary...... everyone talking poorly about the schools.....and they are ALL mentioned.....and the acceptance rates are slightly daunting!!

You have stuff already done though, I'm first taking it. I think you can only have 2 or 3 classes in progress when you apply and everything else has to be done. I don't have that right now.

I live in Brooklyn also and would have to get housing out there to be able to do it. However, the program looks great. A lot of my class in A&P is going for nursing, but it doesn't seem that most of them are going for an aBSN rather looking to get into the KBCC RN program.

For regular programs I'm looking at LIU Brooklyn campus but I'm trying to do this as fast as I can also because I already have a BS. I might apply as a backup.

The amount of applicants vs. the amount of seats is seriously scaring me also!
