You actually were quite lucky; average wait time is eight months, and quite a few have been much longer.
Best of luck on your exam.:balloons:

I did an oline course (for child abuse reporting). Its cost was about 30 US dollars. They issued me a certificate (printed online) and I attached copy of it alongwith my NY application and it was mentioned in the application form. (Online service provider will also report directly to NY Board).
Best of Luck
ow. dats good to hear that they have it online.
one more thing, when did you decided to send your application form to the NY board?
thanks again.

Hi,
You can search NY Board webpage to find out the names of online service providers for child abuse reporting course. You can find a couple of them.
I applied for CVS first. (it may take upto 8 months to complete but I was lucky that I got it within 6 months) and after about 3 months from the date of application of CVS, I applied for NY Board.
If you apply for CVS now, it may complete within next 6-8 months (provided everything goes fine with your case) and you can apply to NY board in coming February/March 2008.

ic. hopefully i would have the same case as yours, but the problem is if they will consider my CVS application even if i am not a registered nurse here in our country.
do you have any idea about this circumstance?
thank you.

Hi, I have a question for you. Could you please tell me about NY BON application for licensure. Do I need to complete only one page(the first one) or all four peges? Suzanne4 say only one page which doasn't make any sense because on the last page is notarisation required, signature and so on. Yhank you

Hi My CVS from CGFNS is completed and as far as I know The NY BON forms have to be fully completed and notarized with current photograph .. thats what I did and i got a reply that it was accepted ..you have to attach your certificates as requested..and complete the identification and reporting o child abuse course.. i did mine on http://www.elearnonline.net is mandatory.. meaning absolutely necessary part of the process of eligibility.. right now i am waiting for Newyork BON eligibility to take the NCLEX..
Hi My question to you is once the eligibility by board of nursing which in my case is NYS is recieved, how much time does one have to register for the NCLEX with pearson.. or what is the procedure after the eligibility process is completed.. i would like to know as right now i am waiting for eligibility, my CVS is done.
