NWA RN Pay?

Published

We are thinking about relocating to NWA from WI. Nicer weather, beautiful area etc. How much does a new grad with a few months experience with a ADN start out at? Here in WI as a pool starting out at 32/hr. but looking for full time when we move down there.

thanks

Sounds like you are thoroughly checking things out before making the move, kudos.

Hopefully someone from the area, as it's after Christmas now ;) , will be along to help answer your question(s). :)

Yes we are. We came down for a while over labor day to check things out and really like the feel of the area. Very beautiful nature wise.. not as bad as a city like milwaukee traffic, housing and tax wise. Everyone seemed friendly. We have a 5 yr old daughter we rreally like to move and kind of "start over" there.

We are excited but not sure how the pay is there compared to here.. sites like indeed etc say about 60k average but I don't know if you can trust sites like those.

The Little Rock area hospitals start their new grad nurses off around $20-$22/hr. I'm not sure exactly how much it would be in NWA, but I imagine it's similar.

Starting salary in fayetteville is $20 hr for an RN. But the cost of luving is lower than other places.

In case people are still wondering. I just got a job in NWA area and with 2 years of RN experience, I am starting out at $23.78/hr.
