If money is not an issue, Georgia Baptist ($7000/semester) and Emory($14000/semester) are both private and have very good BSN programs. Kennesaw State probably is the best in terms of value and quality of education for a BSN. I'll be going to Georgia State this fall, which, truth be told, has problems in its program regrading NCLEX pass rates, but it also (as does KSU) has an accelerated program and is affordable.

GPC is inexpensive. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Thank you for the info. Do you know the cost to attend KSU per semester? Georgia State is the same as Georgia Baptist or are they two different colleges?

I didn't have any trouble getting in but I hear there's a wait list now. I had all pre-reqs done, a good GPA and a good NET score--I imagine they let people in based on that recipe. What you should be concerned with is getting OUT. Find out about atttrition rates. I think the State Board has this info if the school won't tell you.

If I had this to do over again I would have gone the extra semester or two and gotten the BSN.

What is the attrition rates? Do you mean the passing rate? Are you saying that its better to just go straight ahead and do the BSN program because I am looking into that strongly..Thanks for your info.

Yes, that's what I meant. Honestly- for the time that you spend and the stress that you cause yourself, unless you HAVE to get out and get working right away, why not get a BSN. If you did start at GPC and decided to transfer somewhere else later, nothing is accepted but the first semester. That may be true of all schools though, I don't know.
