Nursing school

I need help on finding a good nursing school Has anyone graduated from Concorde College from the nursing program? It got my attention when they said it only takes 16months in order to get my associates unlike A community college where it takes longer to even be accepted.

I know nothing about Concord. Is it a for profit school? Where in Texas are you?

I'm in San Antonio. I'm doing my pre-requisites at the community college (which also has an ADN program), and I have my sights set on UTHSCSA (though I'm seriously hoping for an uptick in their NCLEX pass rates for the year).

Concorde is a private school, I'm in Dallas Tx I'm just frustrated because The private school Concorde is a fast route in order to be a nurse I just take the program but I won't be able to transfer my credits to keep my education going And a community college takes longer to be accepted I just don't know if it's worth the wait.. How does community college work in order to be a nurse?

If the credits don't transfer, that would be a deal breaker for me.

For the ADN route, you'll have to take basic classes like Algebra, History, Chemistry, English, etc - after those are done, you can apply to the nursing program, which takes two years. It's up to you how fast you finish the pre-requisites.

Here's a link I found with info on Dallas Community College: Nursing Programs

UT Arlington has 15 month BSN program. All classes are offered online with 2 clinical days per week. Check out their website http://www.academic partnerships.uta.edu

I graduated last year and have zero regrets.

What happens if I fail a certain subject or a quiz am I able to retake it?

You are not allowed to retake tests or quizzes if you fail them. If you fail a class, you will be required to retake it the following semester, possibly delaying your graduation. There is one really tough class in the program ----critical care or "nursing of adults" but with good organization and preparation, you should be fine!
