Question

Nursing School Shoes?

Hi everyone! I start my clinical rotations for nursing school next semester. I need to purchase a pair of shoes. They need to be slip resistant, and non permeable, so liquids don't seep through. They have to either be all white, or all black!

I have a wide foot, so I need something that I can order/purchase in wide or extra wide!

Thank you all in advance- I appreciate everyone taking time out of their day to reply!

I think trying the shoes on is probably the best way to find what's comfortable. Here's what I did since it was tough to find the right kind of shoes locally. I used Amazon's "Prime Wardrobe" service - lets you pick out a bunch of shoes that meet the school's requirements, try them on, and keep what feels best. You send back what you don't want and don't pay until you figure out what you want to keep.

Thank you so much! That's such a good idea. Never even thought to try that out!

I was able to get comfy impermeable sneakers at either HSN or QVC. They were on sale and they had a payment plan so I got 2 pairs. I'm not sure of the return policy but I think one of those allows free exchanges. Double check that. I got a half size larger because my feet tend to swell on long shifts. They did have wide sizes.Definitely get compression socks to go with your shoes.
