nursing school interview

Published

i have a nursing school interview tomorrow and i know one of the questions will be 'why do you want to be a nurse'. my answer is because i want to help people and i am caring, but i know that is generic. any tips?

Well there are a million jobs out there that would involve helping people, why would you choose nursing specifically? Any past experiences that influenced your decision?

I agree with leenak. You need to make it personal. Was there something specific that influenced you to choose this path? For me, I had two very specific instances with other people in the hospital that made me realize I wanted to be a nurse. I, too, am caring and want to help others, but I think every prospective nurse can say that. What experiences have you had that have influenced your decision to become a nurse?

Is there some aspect in nursing that you are particularly interested in? If so, that would be great to include.
