nursing school advice

Hello, I am completing nursing pre reqs at ole miss( a university). I would like to know if I dont get accepted into nursing school at a university, could I apply at a community college for an RN degree and how long would it take to get the RN degree?

You can always apply. Length of time is based on the specific program you apply to....they are all different.

You can apply but it doesn't mean you will get in. All nursing schools are usually competitive with some community colleges being more competitive than BSN schools. I would research in your area and make sure you are fulfilling all requirements for any schools you would like to apply for admission. In my area, a lot of people who could not get into our program at the community college went on to complete their BSN at other universities because it was easier to get in.

ok thanks! Where are you from? I looked up the pre-requisites for community colleges near me, and they were all half the amount of hours I needed for a University. I think it will be easier to get into a community college, but I am not really sure. I will know for sure soon! Thanks for the advice.
