Hi,
i'm a senior nursing student on my way to getting a bsn. This semester we have to take a nursing research class. I haven't the slightest clue as to what I should research and write about. I feel like there's a whole ocean of interesting topics and i can't decide which way to go. My professor isnt much help either, she's way too vague even after i asked her for clarification. The one point that she keeps trying to make in class is that, "research is to improve the quality of patient care" and also "don't reinvent the wheel". Does anybody have any suggestions/advice???? Or any websites that would give me good topics to think about????? I would really appreciate any help!!!!!!!!! thanks in advance!!!

Choosing a topic was a battle for me too. I finally decided on "Family Presence during CPR and Invasive Procedures"
Here's the list of suggested topics from my course:
Reducing assaults; patient violence and agression
fatigue and fatigue-relieiving strategies
Ventilator Associated Pneumonia - prevention strategies
Music therepy
Massage therapy
Pet therapy
Intercessory Prayer
Spritual care/Spritual health/Sprittual nursing interventions.
Good luck!
