nursing research

I need to search CINAHL to find research that leads to the change from use of heparin flushes to saline flushes in peripheral access devices. I am having a very difficult time in putting this into a question and then formatting it into the PICO format to stream line research. Also have tried many of the terms without much luck only 2 articles. Any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Athena,

Thank you. I finally came up with a question about the safety of heparin vs saline flushes and received pelnty of articles. I asked for the adverse effects and received articles on HIT which was more appropriate to the question rather than just maintaining the patentcy.

Next I have to identify a nursing research topic to write a journal search paper on and I am still searching. I like the idea of going to the library for suggestions. I will try that.

Thanks again!
