what are some nursing programs?

Im in California and am tired of the crazy home prices.Im still doing my prereqs. What is the selection process at some of the nursing programs(ADN)?

Lottery,waiting lists?

I'm going to Arapahoe Community College and they have a waitlist about a mile long. Most of the community colleges that have ADN programs have a waitlist.

wow!I guess Im lucky I live where I am.Around here there are 4 programs, 3 with the lottery system.Every semester you must enter and you get picked. However, you must have a 3.0 in sciences.I couldnt stand going through 2 years of prereqs, then be put on a waiting list, then do a two year program...yikes!!:uhoh3:

Do you know anything about LPN articulation with RN programs?

Are you currently in the nursing program at ACC? If so, how long was your wait? I'm still taking care of some prereqs at ACC so I am curious to see how long the wait will be once I can apply to the nursing program.

Thanks!

You can probably get more information from the CCCS on-line since the state now has centralized selection for any of the community colleges in Colorado.:nurse: Some of the rural community colleges have less of a waiting list than the metro schools.
