I wanted to stay home with my child and try for number 2 but also for the last few days I am thinking about nursing ....I love love the medical field ...I did some volunteer work ,,,,,I got my license as EMT but never used it and every person I know tells me I should be working in the medical field

anyway I need some info I was looking at this program online 14 months with University of Oklahoma but clinicals in San Diego.....

how do I find out if my science classes are not expired?

do all the programs require an exam of entrance?/

I dont even know what else to ask because I dont know much about all these requirements so anything you can share please do....I am trying to make a decision so I need some info

:welcome:my best advice is to talk to an admissions counselor in the nursing program at the college you want to attend. I would take an unofficial transcript with you so that you can review it together. Good Luck!!

Either meet with a nursing counselor or look online at the school(s) you are interested in and see if they post their requirements online, a lot do...If you already have a BS degree, call SDSU and see if they have an accelerated nursing program...

Seems like most places I know of, science and math classes only last 7-10 years (depending on where you are). So if it is over that since you have taken basic sciences, you will probably have to retake them. I would talk to an admissions counselor.

If I remember correctly when speaking to my advisor, the science courses has to be within five years, as you do need these courses to help you move along smoothly in nursing school and the courses itself. Although, many schools do have different requirements and the best bet would be to talk to an advising counselor. If you do remember these science courses and are sure that you don't need to retake it, every college/universities have an exam for you to take to waive the course. Technically not waiving it but to test your knowledge that you do know the information and don't need to retake the course.

Every school has its own rules and requirements and the only way you're going to know what this school's are is by contacting them and asking. I wouldn't depend on second hand information you get from an Internet site.
