Hey y'all!
I hope everyone had an awesome holiday! I am a junior nursing major looking to enhance my skills and confidence in nursing. I am curious about nursing externships to help me do this. Does any know a list of hospitals that have all the hospitals that do these inter/extern programs? Thanks!

Try speaking with an advisor at your school. Many times, hospitals will provide information to the schools that have clinical site agreements. Other than that, look for job postings for the facilities in your area in a few months.

Just type in the words "nursing externship" into an internet search and you'll get thousands of hits. By using other key words, you can narrow that search.
You can also look at the employment opportunities page of any particular hospital in your area that interests you.

I used this list last summer to start to apply for externships.

It's not my university, but it helped get me started. The externship I did get, happens not to be on this list, so know there are definitely more out there.
Good Luck!

I'd look in your area. The actual scope of a nurse extern varies. In my area, the nurse extren made about 14 dollars (3 more than a regular nursing assistant) but didn't do much more.
