What state are you in? There may be grants/loan repayments. What school are you looking at, many have private scholaorships that you may apply fro. If you have stong grades you may be get one. Where do yo want to work, you may be able to "apy back time" when you graduate.

Before you do anything you need to fill out free FAFSA required (mandatory) for applying for any financial aid, public/federal/private whatever. Best time to fill out is Jan 1 of the year you want to attend otherwise you can complete now for upcomng fall or next spring. Talk w/ Financial Aid at the school you wnat to attend.

i know that i won't qualify for grants because i make too much money, but i was wondering if anyone knows of any low interest or government backed free money for furthering your education in nursing.

Often if you want to work for Indian Health Service (as an NP or CNM) or agree to teach in an underserved area, you may qualify for some sort of grant or payback. There was a program called federal nurse-traineeeships for APN's many years ago. I am not sure if it is still in existence. try googling.

Yes it's called student loans, and you need to fill out FAFSA to be eligible for them. How is it you make too much money? I don't live in a world where I would have too much money to pay over $1100 per CREDIT HOUR, that is the going rate for grad school. If you make "too much money" then why do you need someone to pay for education? Just wondering, like I said the phrase "too much money" is like saying "peace in the Middle East" not such term, sort of an oxymoron.

Unsubsidized Stafford Loans do not offer interest subsidies to borrowers; they are not exclusive to low income borrowers. The borrower is responsible for paying all the interest on the loan as soon as the loan is disbursed, and they are not based on income, you are welcome to join all of us who have college related debt, except you will have "too much money" and can pay yours off in no time.

Good luck to you in your studies.........
