Nursing Classes Ranked by Difficulty and Ability to Double Up

I would not double up any of those classes if you can with anything else. I mean, unless you're ok with less than an "A". They are real time suckers but if you're good at managing time you may be able to double them up. IF you do double them up do not double them up with either of the History Courses!

Nursing Management just takes up time to shadow the nurse manager, assignments are pretty easy just tedious.

Health Assessment is a time-sucker because you have to assess then type it all up in the document.

Nursing Research has been the biggest time-sucker. I haven't worked as hard in any of the previous courses as I have in this one. Lots of research, tests, and some tedious work like a crossword puzzle. It starts out slow but then just puts a lot of work on you in a short amount of time. *Honestly, don't double up this class if you can afford not to.*

I don't have any history courses. I only have the literature course and I was going to take that a my local community college next semester. Besides that all I have are nursing classes. The 'time suckers' can't be doubled with any of the others, in your opinion?

I have not taken any of the time sucker course listed above. I have completed health promotion and legal aspect. Neither of them were too difficult. If I had to choose, I would recommend using legal aspect to double up with management. Sounds like vaccine queen gave great advice that lines up with all the other threads I read.

Just finished vulnerable populations. I thought the workload of the class was really odd. You basically work on a really long project the first three weeks and then the last two weeks are really easy. I passed with a comfortable A. Quizzes are a little challenging because of the select all that apply questions. I am usually pretty quick with school work and I spent about this much time per week:

14 hours week 1

20 hours week 2

8 hours week 3

3 hours week 4

2 hours week 5

I am planning on taking assessment next. Any advice?

I took Health Assessment and Management together. They are both tedious but it was completely doable. Vulnerable Populations would be good to double with Assessment as the class is front-loaded and the bulk of work is done in the first three weeks, whereas as Assessment was much steadier.

Diggerdave, You'll use Shadow Health for your virtual assessments. Once you finish your assessment, look at the feedback and use it to complete your assessment again. It takes a bit more time, but you're able to be much more thorough with your line of questioning and get highest marks the second time around.

Do you recall how they grade the shadow health assignments? It is not listed in the syllabus. After you complete a section you get a digital clinical performance percentage (like 100%) and also a student performance index (like 43.5/48). Which one is used for the actual grade and do they review the long form answers you type up after the assessment?

I believe they used the percentage. I never had feedback from my coach regarding anythzing within Shadow Health so I honestly don't know if they review them in detail or not. Those essay type questions were always the same within each system and I found myself using the same verbiage each time.
